VISION VALUES AND MISSION
These are based on the belief that by promoting intercultural learning and communication (from practice, policy, theoretical and advocacy perspectives) we can help to build a better world - drawing on our rich and diverse cultural inheritances by:
- Promoting intercultural learning and communication.
- Connecting people of different cultures in local and global learning communities.
- Enhancing understandings of different cultures and identities.
- Campaigning for recognition and promotion of intercultural learning and communication to promote people's sense of belonging and identity to the places where they live or have their roots.
- Working together for the reduction of poverty, care of the environment and preservation of peoples' diverse cultural inheritances.
- Creating better understandings of the need to help preserve cultures and traditions that are declining as those with the knowledge grow old and die – set in the context of a changing world where people are increasingly mobile migrating from where they have their cultural roots.
